Effective 14 September 2026
DriftSound synthesises sound on your device at the moment you press play. It contains no audio recordings and downloads none. The presets and custom mixes you create — the layers you chose and their levels — are stored in the app’s own container on your iPhone.
DriftSound asks for no device permissions at all — no microphone, no camera, no photo library, no contacts, no location. It uses the audio background mode so playback continues when your screen locks, which is a capability rather than a permission and grants the app no access to your data.
Playback makes no network request of any kind. The app works with the device in Airplane Mode. The only network traffic the app can generate is Apple’s own App Store connection when you make or restore a purchase, which is handled by StoreKit and not by us.
None. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, device identifiers, listening history, or any personal information.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Purchase status is checked on-device through StoreKit. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.
All content stays in the app’s private storage on your device and is included in your normal iCloud or iTunes device backup according to your own backup settings. Deleting the app deletes its data.
DriftSound does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13, because it collects no information at all.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Because the app has no server, we cannot notify you in-app; check this page if you are concerned.
